This in-depth exploration of Ayurveda will focus on the key concepts of this beautiful ancient wisdom and its practical application to modern daily living.  As such it is of vital importance to yoga teachers, yoga practitioners, massage therapist, nutritionists and everybody interested in learning more about themselves and how to live a life of balance—balance within our mind-body-spirit unity as well as balance with nature and the environment around us.

  • Panchamaha Bhutas (5 Elements)
  • 20 Guna (Qualities)
  • Concept of Tri-dosha (Vata, Pitta, Kapha)
  • Constitution (Prakruti) and Imbalance (Vikruti)

 

Module 2:     Sunday, October 25, 14.00-18.00

 

The Physical and Subtle Body According to Ayurveda

  • Subdoshas
  • Tissues (dhatus)
  • Marmas (energy points)

 

Module 3:     Saturday November 21, 14.00-18.00

 

Working with the Physical and Subtle Body Through AyurYoga

  • Balancing Vata, Pitta, and Kapha through asana, pranayama and meditation
  • Harmonizing the 5 Pranas through asana, pranayama and meditation

 

 

Module 4:     Sunday, November 22, 14.00-18.00

Agni-Balanced Digestion and Metabolism

  • Agni—The Digestive Fire and Metabolism
  • Ama-Toxicity
  • Energetic Approach to Nutrition
  • Eating Right for your Metabolic Type
  • Proper Food Combining for Optimal Digestion

 

 

Module 5:                 Saturday, December 12, 14.00-18.00

 

Achieving Optimal Health and Balance through Daily and

Seasonal Ayurvedic Routines

Module 6:                 Sunday, December 13, 10.00-14.00

 

Ayurvedic Kitchen Basics Cooking Class: Turmeric-Ghee, Almond-Date Shake, Tridoshic Kitchari, Fennel Digestive Snack.

  

 

COST: 1000 TL + KDV (Total) or 200TL + KDV each individual module.

About Ulli Allmendinger, MSc. Ayurveda, RYT (Yoga Alliance)


Ulli Allmendinger (MSc. Ayurveda) is an Ayurvedic consultant, herbalist and Yoga therapist with a passion for cooking, Ayurvedic nutrition and AyurYoga Therapy. She has pursued her studies of Ayurveda in the US and India since 2003. In addition to being a graduate of Dr. Lad’s two-year, full-time program at the Ayurvedic Institute in New Mexico, she also holds a Master’s degree in Ayurvedic Sciences from International Vedic Hindu University (IVHU) in Florida, USA. Even though she left behind a successful career as a journalist in New York City, Ulli still regularly contributes to and edits for publications such as Light On Ayurveda Journal (LOAJ). She currently serves on the board of Lale Magazine (IWI Publication) as their Health and Fitness Editor. Ulli own the health consulting company Ulli Ayurveda (www.ulli-ayurveda.com), and is also owner of Ulli’s Kitchen (www.ulliskitchen.sopsy.com), a line of gluten-free breads and treats to support gluten-free healthy living and optimal digestion. Ulli currently lives and works in Istanbul, Turkey.
